Listing rules

One listing, one real thing, posted by the person it belongs to. Everything below follows from that.

Post what is yours

Post your own property, your own vacancy, your own stay, your own family's profile, your own practice. Not a listing you found somewhere else, and not somebody else's photographs.

If you are a business posting on behalf of the people you work for, say so: sign in as a business, and post under the name a reader can look up.

One listing a thing

The same flat, job or stay posted five times does not reach five times as many people — it is removed. Edit the listing you have instead.

No fee in disguise

If money is going to be asked for over and above the rent, salary, tariff or fee on the card — a brokerage, a commission, a registration charge, a profile unlock, a token amount — the listing does not belong here. That is the one rule this whole site exists for.

Nothing the law will not let you ask

A rental or a vacancy may not be conditioned on caste, religion, region, gender where the law does not allow it, disability or marital status. A job may not ask an applicant for money, and may not be offered to anybody below the legal working age.

Real contact details

A number that is answered, by the person the listing is about or by somebody they have asked to answer it. A listing nobody can reach is worth nothing to a reader.

What happens when a rule is broken

Any reader can report a listing from the listing's own page. A report is read by a person. A listing may be taken down without notice and an account that keeps breaking these rules is closed.

If you think your listing came down wrongly, write to hello@freebroker.app and say which one.
